Bradley Central graduate Rhyne Howard has earned yet another accolade.

She has been named to the WNBA’s 2026 All-Defensive First Team. This came during a season that saw her register four rebounds, three steals and one block per game. This is on top of a career-high 17.7 points per game.

The 2022 1st overall pick and Rookie of the Year has been named an All-Star all but once in her career. This latest achievement is a jump from being named to the All-Defensive Second Team in 2025.

Howard’s Atlanta Dream will face off against the Golden State Valkyries in the WNBA finals starting on Saturday. Atlanta will host games three and four on October 21 and 24 respectively at State Farm Arena.
