The official opposition at city hall is calling for Montreal Police Chief Fady Dagher to be summoned before city council to answer questions about two scandals plaguing the department in recent months.
In June, officers were suspended over allegations they cut locks of hair from racialized residents in Montreal North and kept them as trophies.
Then, last week it was reported two other officers were suspended after one urinated on at least one unhoused person and another photographed a suspect in a “humiliating” position.
