Those are different closing times. The Clerk’s 4:30 p.m. deadline does not replace the general October 26 polling hours of 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Plan the administrative visit and the ballot around the correct deadline for each.
The Clerk’s Office is at Brampton City Hall, 2 Wellington Street West. For questions about an individual situation, contact the Election Office at 905-874-2424 or bramptonvotes@brampton.ca before making assumptions about eligibility or the documents required.
Bring identification, not just the notice
The City recommends taking the mailed voter notice, if you received one, along with acceptable identification showing your name and Brampton address. The notice can help speed processing, but it is not required and cannot serve as identification by itself.
Use the City’s acceptable identification list to check documents before travelling. Not receiving a notice is not, on its own, a reason an eligible voter cannot vote.
The official eligibility page explains the citizenship, age and Brampton residency or property requirements, along with restrictions. The requirements include being a Canadian citizen and at least 18 years old on Voting Day, alongside the applicable Brampton residence, ownership, tenancy or spouse qualification. Each eligible elector may vote only once in this election.
Choose a location in your ward
For October 26, eligible voters can use any voting location within their own ward. The Where Do I Vote page links to the address lookup and lists the locations. Advance voting has ended; its citywide location rule should not be carried over to Voting Day.
