Bachelor Nation fans got to know and love Kaitlyn Bristowe on Season 19 of “The Bachelor” and Season 11 of “The Bachelorette.”
Since her time on the show, she’s been keeping followers updated with her life on social media and welcomed two dogs into her life — golden retrievers Ramen and Pinot.
Last year, Kaitlyn revealed the heartbreaking news that Pinot has heart disease. And shortly after, she shared that he needed to have surgery.
The Bachelor Nation star has been keeping fans updated with Pinot’s health journey online, and this week, took to Instagram to give a new update.

Alongside a carousel of photos, Kaitlyn wrote, “Prayers up for Pinot the sweetest potato head I know. On our way to the cardiologist. It’s been one year since Pinot was diagnosed with early heart disease.”
She revealed his treatment plan over the last year, and said that she’s praying for good news.
“Since then he’s been getting meds, ozone therapy, acupuncture, and a lot of love,” Kaitlyn expressed. “So today we will see where he’s at and I’m praying for positive news. He’s literally the sweetest dog I’ve ever met. Of course his heart is too big.”
Shortly after making that post, Kaitlyn then gave another update on social media with Pinot’s results from the cardiologist.

She said, “Pinot is a G! All he has to do is wear this heart monitor vest for 24 hours, because they didn’t notice ONE single irregular heart beat. (Last year they noticed 3 in 20 mins). AND he got an A+ report card. His heart condition has IMPROVED from last year and I couldn’t be happier. LONG LIVE DOGS!!!!”
Kaitlyn and Pinot filmed a cute video together, showing him wearing his heart monitor vest and looking around as the former Bachelorette danced.
Loved ones and fans filled the comments with their love and congratulations for Pinot on the great news!
We are so happy that Pinot is doing well and feeling better! We’re sending him and Kaitlyn all our love and continuing to wish them all the best.
