A Quebec Court judge will decide next month if he agrees with a joint recommendation that would see a convicted pimp from the St-Laurent borough, who has been behind bars since 2022, have another three-year prison term left to serve.

On Wednesday, Quebec Court Judge André Perreault said he wants to deliberate on the complicated situation Sergei Klenovsky, 30, finds himself in after being convicted in two different human trafficking cases in the past three years at the Montreal courthouse.

In the earlier case, which began with Klenovsky’s arrest early in 2022, he was sentenced on Jan. 9, 2025 to the equivalent of a seven-year prison term.
