Two oncology nurses have been honoured for their outstanding contribution to health care in Windsor.
Jennifer Hughes, who works in the 4West Inpatient Oncology Unit of Windsor Regional Hospital, and Michelle Gagnier, who works at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, have been presented with the Danielle Johnson Excellence in Oncology Nursing Award, which supports their advanced training.
The award and the endowment fund — started by the Johnson family in memory of Daniel Johnson — “celebrates the tremendous care provided every day by oncology nurses,” Windsor Regional Hospital said in a news release.
