Peel Regional Police say they were called to a residential apartment building near Mississauga Valley Boulevard and Kaneff Crescent at about 5:09 p.m. on Sunday (Oct. 25) for a fire in one of the units.
No injuries have been reported.
The fire has since been put out, and police say there are no reports of physical injuries.
Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services remain on scene investigating.
Several road closures were put in place in the area:
Kaneff Crescent westbound from Mississauga Valley Boulevard
Kaneff Crescent westbound at Arista Way
Local residents on Kaneff Crescent still have access.
Police are asking people to avoid the area.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
