Meghan Markle’s father, Thomas, hadn’t been photographed for more than a year before Thursday’s bombshell report that the octogenarian hoarded a trove of “hundreds if not thousands” of child sex abuse images at his home in the Phillippines.
Paparazzi spotted Thomas Markle, then 80, outside his apartment building in Cebu, Philippines on July 5, 2025. He had relocated to South Asian archipelago from Rosarito, Mexico, earlier that year.

Notably, the retired Hollywood lighting technician was caught on camera during a short walk he took near his home alongside his son, Thomas Markle Jr. (not pictured above) — who later allegedly discovered his father’s stash of child porn and reported it to police.
The father and son were photographed leaving their apartment building and visiting a nearby shopping center.
The July 2025 pics are the only available set of photographs of the pair in the Philippines amid reports of a child abuse investigation against Thomas Sr.
