2nd serious incident this week

On Monday morning, police responded to reports of a serious injury collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle at 135 Martindale Blvd. in northeast Calgary.

According to police, a vehicle attempting to enter a gated parking lot drove over a man who was lying on a sidewalk near the entrance. Upon realizing the entrance was closed, the driver reversed, driving over the victim a second time.

According to police the driver did not see the victim because it was dark and the pedestrian was wearing dark clothing.

The man was taken to hospital and later succumbed to his injuries.

Police continue to investigate both incidents.
