More bus service is coming back to a Brampton community with dozens of homes when a suite of transit changes starts in November.

Starting in November, more than 20 Brampton Transit and Züm routes across the city will see changes to schedules and adjustments “for operational changes, updated schedules, improved service reliability or to align with ridership demand,” the city says.

The biggest change will see Route 54 “realigned” onto Havelock Drive. The street was previously part of the 56 Kingoll route, which was suspended earlier this year.

Last year saw a 13 per cent drop in Brampton Transit revenues, leading to significant route changes and updates in 2026. Several routes were suspended in April due to low ridership, including Route 56.

Brampton Transit makes changes to routes every few months, and the city says riders should check their route and schedule before heading out.

Here are all the upcoming changes coming to Brampton Transit starting on Nov. 2.

Weekday schedules on the following routes will be adjusted to improve service reliability:

511 Züm Steeles.
2 Main.
4/4C Chinguacousy.

Sunday schedules on the following routes will be adjusted to improve service reliability

Earlier this month, the Heart Lake Bus Terminal located on Conestoga Drive was closed for upgrade projects, and the temporary closure has led to bus stops within the terminal relocated to nearby on-street locations.

The construction is expected to last through to the end of the year, and the city says local residents and transit riders can expect noise due to the improvement work.
