The Atlanta Dream players entered Thursday with their backs against the wall to avoid elimination and force a Game 7.

Pressure? No problem for this Atlanta team.

The Dream dominated the Golden State Valkyries with a 80-69 win in Game 6 at State Farm Arena. Atlanta and Golden State will now play the first Game 7 in WNBA Finals history on Saturday night.

“All we needed was a little bit of swagger going into this, a little bit of confidence. And I think everybody’s just in a really great headspace right now,” Dream forward Angel Reese said postgame.

Reese, who struggled offensively in Game 5, bounced back with 15 points and 14 rebounds. It’s her fourth double-double this series.

Allisha Gray led the team in scoring with 23 points and knocked down five of her seven 3-pointer attempts.

Gray admitted to Channel 2’s Alison Mastrangelo before Game 6 that she hasn’t been 100% with her hand injury. But the Dream guard said she is giving herself “grace.”

“What I’m dealing with is the playoffs, but the biggest thing for me is just doing other things to help my team out. Shots were falling today, so I’ll take that. But I feel like it starts on the defensive end,” Gray said.

She said she isn’t stopping with her performance in Game 6.

“I do believe I stepped up to the challenge, and I know going to Game 7 not to take the foot off the gas and just— I feel like I can take it up even another level,” Gray said.

Game 7 tips off from the Chase Center in San Francisco at 8 p.m. Saturday.
