That rating does not mean flat pavement. The map records a maximum slope of 19.5 per cent on Green and 28.2 per cent on Yellow. Anyone choosing a route around mobility, balance or stroller needs should consider those measurements rather than treating the easiest symbol as an accessibility promise.
The 5.5-kilometre Blue Trail offers a longer mapped option. Trails are shared by walkers and mountain bikers unless otherwise indicated, while the separately identified single-track trails are for mountain biking. Use the map’s coloured routes and numbered posts to keep the two networks distinct.
Construction affects part of the park
TRCA currently reports restricted access to Elmview and Meadowvale because of construction and directs visitors to follow posted signs. The notice is not a whole-park closure. A mapped route is still subject to the barriers and directions found on the day.
Keep dogs on a leash no longer than two metres, clean up after them and stay on designated trails. The trail map also says routes close at dusk unless otherwise posted. Plan the return journey around the earlier applicable limit, rather than using last admission as a suggested arrival time for a long walk.
