The Washington Interscholastic Athletics Association announced on Oct. 16 that the state soccer championships will now be played at Mount Si High School due to scheduling conflict with Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.

It is the first time that Mount Si has hosted such high profile games in the history of the school.

3A and 4A brackets will conclude at Mount Si High School, the WIAA announced via press release. Both semifinals and finals will take place as well as the consolation bracket games.

The semifinals will take place on Nov. 20 and the finals will follow the next day on Nov. 21.

Last season, Mount Si won its first-ever girls state soccer championship. The Wildcats won the 4A title at Sparks Stadium against Tahoma as the No. 12 team in the bracket.

It also was the first time the Wildcats had ever reached a final in girls soccer and the first time the school had ever won multiple games in the state tournament. It is the second soccer title for Mount Si, as the boys took home the trophy in 2024 and reached the finals in 2019.

The Wildcat girls are currently 14-0 and occupy the top spot in the KingCo crown division.
