Despite having the worst record in all of the WNBA, the Dallas Wingsare still getting plenty of attention. Their 9-29 record means they will not be heading to the postseason, but it does give their star Paige Bueckers a much-needed break.
Following winning the NCAA Tournament title with the UConn Huskies, the star rookie has played in 31 of the 38 games so far this season. She is scoring 19 points per game, even with teams playing defense with players all over her, sometimes with three ladies defending her.

After the latest game against Golden State, the head coach of Dallas, Chris Koclanes, had some words about the officiating. He went on to say, “How many times does she (Paige) have to be on the ground for us to start protecting her and cleaning up the physicality? You can see the entire 2:00+ explanation from the coach.”

Her 19 points per game is tied for fifth in the league with Sabrina Ionescu. The only players in the league scoring more than Bueckers are Napheesa Collier, A’ja Wilson, Kelsey Mitchell, and Kelsey Plum.

Bueckers also ranks fourth in the league in steals, with 1.6 per game. She’s also fourth in minutes per game with 33.7. Plum leads the league with 35.5 per game.
