SAN DIEGO – Following the conclusion of the first week of the NCAA men’s soccer season, the San Diego Toreros currently sit in the No. 25 spot in the national rankings released by Top Drawer Soccer.
USD is coming off a busy weekend in Durham, North Carolina as they battled against No. 8 Duke and No. 20 Furman for a pair of tough non-conference matches on the east coast. After a narrow defeat at the hands of the Blue Devils, San Diego bounced back with a 0-0 tie against the Paladins when Torero keeper Adam Salama recorded his first clean sheet since joining USD’s program.
San Diego now looks ahead to another tough road matchup this week as they will face off with No. 4 Denver this Thursday, August 28 at 6:00 p.m. PST. Live stream and live statistics link for Thursday’s match can be found via the team’s website.
