K-Love Inc., the Tennessee-based Christian radio network, is buying Milwaukee stations WLDB-FM (93.3) and WLUM-FM (102.1).
The Milwaukee stations, currently operated by Milwaukee Radio Alliance, are selling for $4 million pending approval by the Federal Communications Commission, according to documents posted on the FCC’s website Aug. 25.

A query sent to Milwaukee Radio Alliance didn’t draw an immediate response.
Based in Franklin, Tennessee, K-Love operates in more than a half-dozen markets in Wisconsin, including WLVE-FM (105.3), which is licensed to Mukwonago. The company has more than 500 stations in all.
According to Nielsen ratings data posted by RadioInsight, WLDB — an adult contemporary station known for being the first in Milwaukee to switch over to Christmas music each year — ranked sixth in overall audience share in the Milwaukee radio market. Rock station WLUM, which has sponsored a number of big concerts in Milwaukee including its annual Big Snow Shows, ranks 10th — tied with WLVE.
This year has seen the departures of several on-air voices at WLDB, including John Schroeder, Melissa Jordan and longtime morning host Jon Adler.
Milwaukee Radio Alliance, a partnership between All-Pro Broadcasting and Times-Shamrock, also owns oldies station WZTI-AM (1290), aka Fonz FM, and contemporary country station Froggy FM, airing on 100.3 and 107.3 FM in Milwaukee.
