The following Softball Canada-Canadian Fastpitch Softball Championships begin today… 

The Under-23 Men’s, with seven teams taking part in Kitchener, Ontario. Among the seven competing teams are the Delisle Pride, the only Saskatchewan team. Delisle has 1 win, 1 loss…tied for 3rd in the tournament. On their schedule today… 

Delisle Pride vs Equipe Quebec U23—8 a.m. 

Delise Pride vs New Hamburg, Ontario, Mustangs—12:15 p.m. 

The Men’s and Master Men’s begin today in Kitchener, Ontario. In the Men’s there are 10 teams competing, including the Saskatoon Jacks who begin play tomorrow. In the Master Men’s, there are seven teams competing, including the Saskatoon Brewers and Treaty 4 Snappers who begin play tomorrow.

The Saskatoon Blades begin training camp this week on Friday, August 29th and run through until Sunday, August 31st at the Martensville Recreation Centre. 74 players are expected to attend camp and will be split into four different groups. Practice and Scrimmages are open to the public with the first on-ice session at 9:15 a.m. The Blades open the pre-season on Tuesday, September 2nd at home against the Prince Albert Raiders at 2 p.m.
