Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa are in talks with the representatives of Adrien Rabiot over a summer deal, according to RMC Sports journalist Fabrice Hawkins. <\/p>\n

The two Premier League clubs want to strengthen in the middle of the park, and the Marseille midfielder has emerged as a target.<\/p>\n

Rabiot has been told to leave<\/a> the Ligue 1 club following a post-match altercation with Jonathan Rowe earlier this month, and Spurs and Villa are looking to swoop.<\/p>\n

Rabiot, formerly of Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, offers the much-needed experience and quality Spurs need as they look to bolster their squad depth in midfield.<\/p>\n

He has won 22 trophies across 14 seasons as a professional footballer, and having him in their dressing room could teach Tottenham players a thing or two about the art of winning silverware.<\/p>\n

The France international could be available for a decent fee with Marseille looking to sell him as fast as they can, but Spurs will face competition from several suitors.<\/p>\n

West Ham United also want to sign Rabiot<\/a>. Galatasaray and Inter Milan are monitoring his situation.<\/p>\n

The availability of Champions League football at Tottenham could work in their favour as he loves to play in the elite European competition.<\/p>\n

Agreeing personal terms with him could be tricky as his agent \u2013 his mother \u2013 is known to be a tough negotiator, but a deal can be struck if both parties are willing to make something work.<\/p>\n
