The 26-year-old weighed in at 209 pounds, while his opponent Abbey came in at 226.5.<\/p>\n
“I’m open to anything from 170 all the way up to heavyweight,” Johnson said. “I\u2019m capable of getting down there. Yeah, that\u2019s really as big as they come \u2013 6-6, 226 (pounds). I’m ready for whatever, but as we go along, we will make smarter business moves.”<\/p>\n
Johnson admits he’s never made welterweight while competing but claims that he can drop down to that weight class if he tried.<\/p>\n
“I bet you I can (make welterweight),” Johnson responded. “I haven’t weighed 170 since like middle school, to be honest. I can make 185, for sure. 170, we’re going to have to see.”<\/p>\n

Johnson says it wouldn’t be the first time he fought an opponent heavier than him and explained why he’s capable of handling it.<\/p>\n
“I have,” Johnson said. “I’ve only had two fights fighting at light heavyweight, the rest of all of my fights were at heavyweight. I came to the game pretty heavy. When I first started training about four years ago, I actually walked into the gym at 290. So, I’ve been big my whole life, I played football, I played college football so, I’m used to the weight. I’m used to the double teaming. I’m used to the weight, so I was ready for it.”<\/p>\n
