Queen Latifah had a night out with her son Rebel, whom she shares with her partner Eboni Nichols<\/p>\n

The Girls Trip actress typically keeps her personal life private, making their WNBA appearance a rare one<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always envisioned myself with a big family, I\u2019m a late bloomer,\u201d she previously told PEOPLE Now<\/p>\n

Queen Latifah<\/a> and her son Rebel had a rare night out as the two attended a WNBA game this week.<\/p>\n

Photos taken at the Barclays Center Arena in Brooklyn on Monday, Aug. 25, showed the Equalizer alum, 55, posing with her child for a fun photo op with players from the Connecticut Sun.<\/p>\n

Olivia Nelson-Ododa, Aaliyah Edwards and Bria Hartley gathered around the star and her little boy as they all smiled while standing on the basketball court.<\/p>\n

Another photo showed the mother-son duo snapping it up with Jonquel Jones, a member of the opposing team, the New York Liberty.<\/p>\n

The 31-year-old center wore a white version of her team\u2019s uniform, while Rebel wore the alternate seafoam color, which coincidentally is the 2023 WNBA Nike Rebel Edition<\/a> jersey.<\/p>\n

It features the word \u201cEquality\u201d at the top, and the best-selling item was released to represent the Liberty\u2019s ongoing commitment to equality and social justice.<\/p>\n

Latifah shares her son with partner Eboni Nichols, 47. The Living Single alum is private about her personal life and typically keeps them both out of the public eye.<\/p>\n

“I will probably be six months pregnant before anyone knows about it and I won\u2019t talk about the baby until after it\u2019s born,” she told SF Gate<\/a> in 2008.<\/p>\n

On March 19, just one day after Latifah\u2019s milestone birthday, she, Eboni and Rebel were seen at an NBA game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets at Crypto.com Arena in L.A.<\/p>\n

The family seems to be big fans of sports.<\/p>\n

In late July 2024, Rebel joined the Just Wright actress on a trip to Paris as the pair cheered on Team USA at the Summer Olympics<\/a>. For the outing, Rebel wore a Lakers jersey and a Nike headband as Latifah waved an American flag in the stands.<\/p>\n

He made his first public appearance with his mom when he was approximately 4 years old, as they attended a Harlem Globetrotters basketball game at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.<\/p>\n

Latifah later acknowledged her little family when she received the BET Lifetime Achievement Award<\/a> in 2021.<\/p>\n

“Eboni, my love. Rebel, my love,” she said onstage at the end of her speech, adding, \u201cHappy Pride.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Set It Off star has also made past remarks about wanting to grow her family.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m an overachiever in some ways and just like slow as molasses in other ways,\u201d Latifah continued. \u201cI think I kind of needed to grow and mature and get everything kind of taken care of with everything before I was able to really deal with it.\u201d<\/p>\n
