\u201cWe are a couple living in Chennai<\/a> with a combined monthly income of \u20b978,000 (after tax). We have an 8.5 month-old baby, and we\u2019ve chosen a good daycare and a safe rental house very close to it,\u201d the post read. The couple\u2019s biggest monthly expense is rent plus daycare, which totals \u20b946,500. This is followed by \u20b910,000 on groceries, fruits, vegetables, and milk, \u20b98,500 on commute (including auto, metro and petrol), and \u20b93,000 on baby diapers. Their utility bills include \u20b91,000 for electricity and another \u20b91,000 for a gas cylinder.<\/p>\n

With these expenses adding up to \u20b970,000, the couple is left with only \u20b98,000 a month. \u201cGoing to be savings plus emergency fund for a month,\u201d the post mentioned, underlining the financial tightrope they are walking.<\/p>\n
