The website for the television anime<\/a> of Masakuni Igarashi<\/a>‘s Tune In to the Midnight Heart<\/a> (Mayonaka Heart Tune<\/a>) manga announced on Friday that Rikuya Yasuda<\/a> will star in the anime as protagonist Arisu Yamabuki. <\/p>\n

The website streamed a video featuring Yasuda, Igarashi, and anime staff members climbing Mt. Fuji with the goal of seeing the summit at sunrise to pray for the success of the anime.<\/p>\n

Masayuki Takahashi<\/a> (Butareba: The Story of a Man Turned into a Pig<\/a>) is directing the anime at Gekk\u014d<\/a>, and Yukie Sugawara<\/a> (Overlord<\/a>) is in charge of series scripts. Tomoyuki Shitaya<\/a> (Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma<\/a>, Bakuman.<\/a>) is designing the characters. <\/p>\n

Kodansha<\/a>‘s K MANGA<\/a> service is publishing the manga digitally in English, and it describes the story:\n<\/p>\n

When Arisu Yamabuki was all alone in bed at night, he was able to find solace in the voice of a radio host who went by \u201cApollo.\u201d However, one day, she simply stopped broadcasting without any explanation. Years then passed, and Arisu is now a second-year high-schooler. He makes it his mission to search for Apollo, as there is something he wants to tell her. He doesn’t know what she looks like, or even what her real name is, but he manages to get some leads on her in his school’s broadcasting club. That’s where he meets four girls who all dream to get a job where they can make full use of their voices! Just who is Apollo, and how will those four’s dreams pan out?<\/p>\n

Igarashi (Senry\u016b Girl<\/a>, Detectives These Days Are Crazy!<\/a>) launched<\/a> the manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Sh\u014dnen Magazine<\/a> in September 2023. The ninth volume shipped on June 17. Kodansha USA Publishing<\/a> licensed<\/a> the manga and will release the third volume on September 2.<\/p>\n
