Davide Frattesi and Sandro Tonali share the same agent, Beppe Riso, who already pushed for the Inter midfielder\u2019s exit in the January transfer window.<\/p>\n

Sky Sport Italia has reported<\/a> that Newcastle have resumed talks with Inter for Frattesi, suggesting that the Nerazzurri may be open to discussing a deal.<\/a><\/p>\n

It\u2019s not the first time that Frattesi has been linked with leaving Inter in recent months.<\/p>\n

Earlier this summer, there had been reports about enquiries from Atletico Madrid<\/a>, Chelsea and Newcastle, while his agent had discussed a possible move to Roma in January.<\/p>\n

Riso, the agent of both Frattesi and Tonali, even admitted that he had been trying to bring Frattesi away from Inter in the winter transfer window.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was my idea,\u201d Riso said in February.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cOr, if you prefer, my push. I saw Davide feeling down because he expected to play more, and I felt bad about it. So, I started working to find alternatives for him, not just in Italy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Frattesi didn\u2019t publicly push to leave Inter, but his representative worked behind the scenes, given that his client was not a regular starter under Simone Inzaghi.<\/p>\n

Despite that, Frattesi still made 56 appearances with Inter in 2024-25, playing nearly 2,000 minutes across all competitions and scoring crucial Champions League goals against Bayern Munich and Barcelona.<\/p>\n

However, 19 of his 36 Serie A appearances last season came as a substitute from the bench, and even if reports this summer suggested Cristian Chivu was ready to rely more on Frattesi this term, the Italian was an unused substitute in a 5-0 win over Torino last weekend.<\/p>\n

Frattesi has 15 goals in 89 appearances with Inter, and his contract at San Siro expires in June 2028.<\/p>\n
