BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – The Ottawa women’s soccer team earned their first result of the season as they tied Baker by a score of 2-2 on Friday evening.<\/p>\n

Ottawa started the scoring early, with Liv Staberg<\/a> netting her first goal of the season in the second minute. Peyton Hack<\/a> followed that goal up with one of her own in the 16th minute, giving Ottawa a 2-0 halftime lead. However, Baker scored goals in the 58th in the 63rd minute to salvage a tie.<\/p>\n

Baker led total shots and shots on goal 11 to 7 and 8 to 6, respectively. Makena Tapia<\/a> made six saves in her first collegiate complete game.<\/p>\n
