Dana White is set to promote the biggest boxing match of the year next month.<\/p>\n

In the past, there have been several times where White and the UFC have had to go up against Canelo Alvarez<\/a>, which doesn\u2019t benefit either party.<\/p>\n

The Mexican superstar is set to return on September 13 to face Terence Crawford<\/a> in a fight that fans have wanted to see for a long time.<\/p>\n

After he signed a huge deal with Riyadh Season earlier this year, this will be White\u2019s first time being on the same team as Alvarez<\/a>.<\/p>\n

While Noche UFC<\/a> will take place on the same day, this time, both events won\u2019t clash, which has caused the UFC<\/a> president some issues in the past.<\/p>\n

There are several occurrences where a big UFC event has taken place at the same time as one of Canelo Alvarez\u2019s<\/a> fights.<\/p>\n

One example of this was November 6 of 2021, which featured one of the biggest UFC cards of the year at Madison Square Garden in New York.<\/p>\n

The co-main event of UFC 268 saw Rose Namajunas<\/a> successfully defend her strawweight title in a rematch with former champion Zhang Weili<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Dana White<\/a> was seated cage-side for the fight but his attention was taken elsewhere due to an event that was taking place simultaneously in Las Vegas.<\/p>\n

The UFC boss was seen watching a monitor during the event that was showing Canelo Alvarez\u2019s ongoing fight with Caleb Plant to crown the first ever undisputed super middleweight champion.<\/p>\n

White was later asked about Alvarez in the post-fight press conference, where he responded by revealing why he was watching two fights at once.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like Canelo, I watched the fight. I bet on Canelo, that\u2019s why I watched the fight. I bet $100,000 on him to win by knockout.\u201d<\/p>\n

White\u2019s bet ended up paying off for him, with the Mexican star stopping his opponent in the eleventh round.<\/p>\n

Canelo Alvarez reacted to Dana White watching him fight during UFC 268<\/p>\n

Canelo Alvarez hasn\u2019t always been happy to go up against a big UFC event when he\u2019s stepping inside the ring.<\/p>\n

In this instance, he seemed satisfied with the way that things had played out after the photos that someone took of Dana White watching his bout from cage-side attracted his attention.<\/p>\n

Alvarez shared the photo on his Instagram story, adding a laughing emoji over the top as the UFC president seemed much more invested in his bout than the title fight that was happening right in front of him.<\/p>\n
