BOSTON \u2013 With September on the horizon, the Boston University women’s soccer program concludes its west coast trip with a matchup at St. Mary’s on Sunday (Aug. 31). Opening kick from Moraga, Calif. is set for 4 p.m. ET and 1 p.m. local time.
\n\u00a0
\nBU (3-1) will be more than halfway through its five-game road swing following Sunday’s contest. The Terriers seek a 3-0 road start on the year.
\n\u00a0
\nSt. Mary’s (1-1-1) is playing its third home match in its first four games on the campaign. The Gaels will also face Patriot League foe Navy later in the year.
\n\u00a0
\nSunday’s game airs on ESPN+ beginning at the top of the hour. Live statistics are available through the St. Mary’s athletic department.
\nTERRIER TIDBITS<\/p>\n


\n\tBU is coming off a 2-1 road win at San Francisco back on Aug. 28.
\n\tTrailing by one after the first half, the Terriers rallied with goals from seniors Giulianna Gianino<\/a> and Mackenzie Stickelman<\/a> in the 66th and 84th minute, respectively.
\n\tSenior goalkeeper Susan Shobeiri<\/a> had four saves, matching her personal best.
\n\tGianino has earned at least one point in each game this season.
\n\tThe Terrier senior class has accounted for five of the team’s nine goals so far in 2025.
\n\tBU already has 10 Terriers with at least one point.
\n\tThe Terriers seek their first three-game, road winning streak since 2022. BU’s last three-game, non-conference winning streak was in 2013.
\n\tBU last went unbeaten in three consecutive non-conference matchups away from home was 2004, with road wins over Boston College and UMass as well as a neutral site victory over Oakland on Michigan’s campus. Its last three-game, non-conference road winning streak was in 1996. <\/p>\n

SCOUTING ST. MARY’S<\/p>\n


\n\tThe Gaels are coming off a 2-0 victory over San Jose State on Aug. 28 to secure their first win in 2025.
\n\tSavannah Schwarze leads four different Gaels who have scored with two goals.
\n\tSt. Mary’s was projected to finish seventh in the WCC preseason poll, compared to San Francisco in 11th place. Sydney Middaugh was named to the All-WCC Preseason Team.
\n\tLast season, the Gaels went 7-7-4 with a 4-3-3 conference record. <\/p>\n

SERIES HISTORY<\/p>\n


\n\tSunday marks the second all-time meeting between BU and St. Mary’s.
\n\tThe last matchup took place on Sept. 3, 2000 in Moraga, Calif., where the Terriers snagged a 3-2 victory.
\n\tBU’s all-time leading scorer, Deidre Enos, potted two goals to back keeper Jessica Clinton’s first career collegiate win.
\n\tBU would improve to 5-3-1over WCC opponents with a win. <\/p>\n
