Revolt Cycling is bringing London its first energy-generating spin studio, combining sustainable design, net-zero ambitions and Energym\u2019s RE:GEN bikes that turn every ride into clean power<\/p>\n

London\u2019s boutique fitness scene is getting a sustainable shake-up. Revolt Cycling, a new purpose-driven studio, will open near Chancery Lane later this year, featuring a fleet of Energym RE:GEN\u00a0bikes that convert human effort into usable electricity.<\/p>\n

The launch marks London\u2019s first energy-generating indoor cycling space, designed to fuse high-performance training with community and environmental impact.\u00a0Each bike captures and converts rider-generated energy into clean power\u00a0that\u00a0is fed\u00a0back into the studio.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe didn\u2019t want to build just another fitness\u00a0studio,\u00a0we wanted to build something that mattered,\u201d Revolt Cycling founder Celeste Blakey said. \u201cEnergym\u2019s RE:GEN\u00a0bikes were the obvious choice \u2014 not just for their performance, but for what they represent. Our riders can see and feel the energy they generate, and that connection between effort and impact is something we really believe in.\u201d<\/p>\n

While its energy-producing bikes<\/a> may grab the headlines, Revolt will offer more than spin classes. Also on tap are a range of Flow & Recover sessions spanning yoga, Pilates, breathwork and infrared sauna recovery.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Members<\/a> can also join The Revolt Collective, a growing platform for events, workshops and brand collaborations that champion well-being and conscious living.<\/p>\n

In addition to its energy-generating bikes, Revolt is working toward opening as a net-zero facility, with sustainability built into the design through low-impact lighting, water-efficient systems and responsibly sourced materials.<\/p>\n

Energym\u2019s technology isn\u2019t confined to studios. The fitness equipment company also sells a home version of the RE:GEN bike, paired with its portable \u201cOhm\u201d power capsule, which stores up to 90 watt-hours of clean energy (enough to fully charge about 10 smartphones or two to three laptops).<\/p>\n

For its part, London\u2019s boutique fitness scene could use a boost. The Fit Guide<\/a>\u2019s latest global rankings, often called the \u201cMichelin Guide for fitness,\u201d found that the city failed to produce a single five-star studio in 2025, a sharp fall from the five top-rated clubs it boasted just a year earlier<\/a>. Class experience and service standards both slipped, while several of last year\u2019s best performers closed.
