Star Plus’ much-loved drama Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has found its way back to television screens, now airing every afternoon at 12 PM. The reruns have rekindled nostalgia among fans who continue to cherish the iconic show. But what has truly sent the fandom into a frenzy is a rumor that Neil Bhatt, who essayed the unforgettable role of DCP Virat Chavan, may be shooting a brand-new promo for the show. The possibility of Virat’s return, even in a small capacity, has sparked endless discussions online.

Since its inception, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin has stood out as one of Star Plus’ most successful offerings. The show’s blend of high-voltage family drama, emotional storytelling, and surprising twists kept viewers hooked for years. Neil Bhatt’s portrayal of Virat Chavan played a pivotal role in its success, making him one of the show’s most beloved figures. His intense and layered performance brought depth to the character, ensuring Virat’s place in the hearts of millions of viewers.

However, the series took a major leap in June 2023, introducing a new generation of characters and storylines. With this shift came the departure of many original leads, including Neil Bhatt. Still, Virat’s absence was deeply felt, and fans often expressed their longing to see him on screen again. Now, with whispers of him filming a fresh promo, excitement has reached new heights.

As of now, there has been no official confirmation regarding Neil Bhatt’s involvement. Yet, speculations run wild. Some fans believe that the promo might serve as a bridge between the show’s past and present arcs, possibly hinting at a connection between storylines. Others think it may simply be a nostalgic marketing move aimed at re-engaging audiences who drifted away after the leap. Regardless of the truth, the buzz itself highlights the impact Virat Chavan has left on the audience.

Some also suggest that this isn’t for a new season but for a potential re-run of the original series.

For context, Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin aired from October 5, 2020, to July 4, 2025, completing over 1,600 episodes. Across its run, the show underwent multiple leaps but retained its emotional essence, keeping audiences invested. Even though the show officially concluded earlier this year, its reruns and the swirling rumors of Neil Bhatt’s reappearance prove its legacy continues to thrive.
