Three of the birds were returned to their winter quarters on Friday after being found upriver, east of Stratford.

Another was recently found in a stormwater pond in the north end.

A fifth swan has also been located at a nearby pond and will be retrieved shortly, the city said, and they are hopeful that the sixth and final wanderer will be returned soon.

Earlier this week, Quin Malot, Parks, Forestry and Cemetery Manager, told MyStratfordNow that half a dozen swans went missing around mid-August and the city was concerned.

Malot said staff looked in familiar haunts, water retention ponds and they placed social media posts.
