\n\tThe sixth Ice Age<\/a> film is now named: Ice Age: Boiling Point<\/a>. At the Destination\u00a0D23<\/a> event held in Orlando, Florida, on Saturday, the title was officially announced. Also revealed is its theatrical release date, which is set for Feb. 5, 2027. The news comes after it was confirmed earlier this year that the next Ice Age<\/a> film was in production<\/a>.<\/p>\n \n\tAccording to Disney<\/a>, here is the film\u2019s official logline: \u201cIce Age: Boiling Point is a dinosaur-and-lava-filled madcap adventure that takes Manny, Sid, Diego, Ellie, Scrat and the rest of the herd to visit never-before-seen corners of the treacherous Lost World.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tReturning castmembers include Ray Romano as woolly mammoth Manny, Queen Latifah as friendly mammoth Ellie, John Leguizamo as Sid the sloth, Denis Leary as smilodon Diego and Simon Pegg\u00a0as weasel Buck, who are all lending their voices.<\/p>\n \n\tThe franchise debuted in 2002 and spanned its sequels, including The Meltdown (2006), Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), Continental Drift (2012) and Collision Course (2016). The latter film grossed nearly $409 million worldwide. Spinoffs include The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild (2022) and the Disney+ series\u00a0Ice Age: Scrat Tales (2022).<\/p>\n \n\tAlso announced at D23 is Disney\u2019s next original animated film, <\/a>Hexed<\/a>.
