Chelsea<\/a> have submitted a \u20ac40 million (\u00a334.5m) bid to sign Barcelona<\/a> midfielder Fermin Lopez, according to reports.<\/p>\n Enzo Maresca<\/a>\u2019s side completed a \u00a340m deal to sign Alejandro Garnacho<\/a> from Manchester United<\/a> on Saturday but are still looking to bolster the squad before Monday\u2019s transfer deadline.<\/p>\n Chelsea have been in contact with Fermin\u2019s agents to gauge the 22-year-old\u2019s desire to swap Barcelona for Stamford Bridge.<\/p>\n Reports this week have also claimed that Maresca has spoken with Fermin about joining Chelsea<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to The Guardian<\/a>, Chelsea have followed up their interest with a \u20ac40m (\u00a334.5m) offer to Barcelona.<\/p>\n \t\t\t\tYour ultimate guide to the football season\t\t\t<\/p>\n Metro’s football newsletter: In The Mixer.
