Box Score<\/a> CONWAY, S.C. \u2013 The Coastal Carolina men’s soccer team fell to the Wofford Terriers 5-2 in its home opener at the CCU Soccer Complex on Sunday evening.<\/p>\n
The Chanticleers will return to action on Sept. 5 to face Presbyterian at the CCU Soccer Complex. \n\tThe Chants struck first in the 4th minute on a perfect link-up between Jaland Larmond<\/a> and Loed Klaasen<\/a>, who set up freshman Angel Lopez<\/a> for his second goal of the season.
\n\tThe Terriers answered in the 15th minute, scoring on a corner set piece to level the match at 1-1.
\n\tWofford added two more goals in the 29th and 32nd minutes to take a 3-1 lead into halftime.
\n\tThe Terriers extended their advantage with a goal in the 77th minute to make it 4-1.
\n\tKlaasen pulled one back for the Chants in the 83rd minute on an assist from\u00a0Larmond, cutting the deficit to 4-2.
\n\tJust one minute later, Wofford sealed the result with its fifth goal of the night to take the 5-2 victory.
\n\tAt full time, Coastal led 11-7 in shots, trailed 6-3 in corner kicks, and finished even in fouls at 13 apiece.
