{"id":110777,"date":"2025-09-01T00:54:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T00:54:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/110777\/"},"modified":"2025-09-01T00:54:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T00:54:07","slug":"readings-2025-young-adult-prize-shortlist","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/110777\/","title":{"rendered":"Readings 2025 Young Adult Prize shortlist"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\tMonday, 1 September 2025 \u00a0 Books+Publishing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/booksandpublishing\/\" class=\"entry-social\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> @booksandpublishing<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Readings has announced the shortlist for the 2025 Readings Young Adult Prize, for the best new contribution to Australian young adult literature.<\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s six shortlisted books are:<\/p>\n<p>Judges include chair Fiona Hardy (Readings Doncaster), Lucie Dess (Readings Marketing), Miranda La Fleur (Readings St Kilda) and Kate O\u2019Mara (Readings Hawthorn).<\/p>\n<p>The winner will be announced alongside the winner of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booksandpublishing.com.au\/articles\/2025\/08\/27\/313354\/readings-2025-new-australian-fiction-prize-shortlist-announced\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">New Australian Fiction Prize<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.booksandpublishing.com.au\/articles\/2025\/09\/01\/313707\/readings-2025-childrens-fiction-prize\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Children\u2019s Fiction Prize<\/a> at Readings\u2019 A Day in Carlton festival on Friday 14 November 2025.
