{"id":111847,"date":"2025-09-01T12:56:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T12:56:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/111847\/"},"modified":"2025-09-01T12:56:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T12:56:07","slug":"hendrick-motorsports-suffers-through-disastrous-southern-500","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/111847\/","title":{"rendered":"Hendrick Motorsports suffers through disastrous Southern 500"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Save for the Clemson Tigers football team, perhaps nobody in the state of South Carolina had as miserable a weekend as Rick Hendrick.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In Sunday&#8217;s Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway &#8211; a crown jewel race and the opener of the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series playoffs &#8211; all four Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolets finished outside of the top-10.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It was a surprisingly poor effort from the winningest organization in NASCAR history on a night where it could ill afford it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>No HMS driver got off worse than Alex Bowman, who had to sit through a 40-second pit stop during a green-flag cycle.
