{"id":112273,"date":"2025-09-01T17:01:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-01T17:01:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/112273\/"},"modified":"2025-09-01T17:01:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-01T17:01:08","slug":"markham-shooting-one-person-in-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/112273\/","title":{"rendered":"Markham shooting: one person in hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">One person is in hospital with serious injuries and four suspects are in custody following a shooting in Markham.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">York Regional Police were called to a shooting in the area of Ashgrove Road and Hepburn Street \u2013 near McCowan Road and 14th Avenue \u2013 around 9 a.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">One person was subsequently transported to hospital. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police did not provide any immediate word on what led to the incident, but said there is no immediate threat to public safety. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">They are advising people to avoid the area as their investigation continues. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Officers are expected to be in the area canvassing for video.
