A portion of a laneway between two apartment buildings has collapsed and swallowed a tanker truck in Toronto\u2019s Weston neighbourhood.<\/p>\n

Toronto Fire Services says it received a call about a structural collapse at 2360 Weston Road, just south of St. Phillips Road, at approximately 8:06 a.m.<\/p>\n

Chopper footage shows the truck in a massive hole leading into the apartment building\u2019s underground parking garage.<\/p>\n

Authorities say no injuries were reported and residents of the building have been notified of the issue. Crews are assessing the stability of the building, but so far, no one has been evacuated.<\/p>\n

The driver of the truck told CityNews that he was in the area to service portable toilets at a construction site adjacent to the building.<\/p>\n

When he jumped out of the truck to clean up the port-a-potties, he noticed that the backend of his truck was slowly sinking into the ground.<\/p>\n

\u201cI though that\u2019s kind of weird. Then I looked down and saw all the cracks and I ran,\u201d the driver said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t even have a phone to call somebody,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt\u2019s in the truck!\u201d<\/p>\n

The vehicle was still on and running as of 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday. A tow truck is on-site and is working to determine a course of action.<\/p>\n

Officials did not provide any details about the suspected cause of the collapse.<\/p>\n
