What is your preferred tournament format (e.g. large-field, single-entry) to play on this slate? How do you plan to beat that field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart? <\/p>\n

CheeseIsGood:\tI prefer larger-field MME tournaments tonight. I am having trouble getting away from Giants chalk, and I\u2019m more worried about that in smaller-field contests. I am going to have some single-entry teams where I fade the Giants, but my preference overall is to be over the field. I\u2019m mostly going to focus on Shota Imanaga<\/a> and Logan Webb<\/a> for spend-up pitching, though I prefer Bryan Woo<\/a> if the salary ends up not mattering. As long as the weather holds, the White Sox and Twins will be my next two offenses after the Giants.<\/p>\n

headChopper:\tWith a game in Coors Field, I\u2019m playing about 20 lineups on each site in large-field GPPs. I want multiple builds rather than narrowing down to one. I\u2019ll be overweight on the Giants, but I think the pitching angle is where I get different. Early pOWN% is heavy on Logan Webb<\/a> and Yu Darvish<\/a>, but I\u2019m not locked in on either. I can rotate 7 or 8 pitchers comfortably, which naturally gives me leverage. Beyond the Giants stacks, there isn\u2019t one offense I feel I need to jam, so I\u2019ll spread the rest out with various one-offs.<\/p>\n

stevietpfl:\tI\u2019m going to be focusing on single-entry contests. I don\u2019t love the pitching options, so I\u2019m going to focus on narrowing down my pitcher pool. I will focus on Logan Webb<\/a> and Shota Imanaga<\/a>. Typically, I look to be underweight on the stacks that are projecting for higher ownership, but tonight, I want to play the Giants. To pair with the Giants, I\u2019m going to look for one-offs and mini stacks who are projecting for lower ownership.<\/p>\n

Dean78904:\tI mostly focus on single-entry and smaller-field type contests. I\u2019m still debating how to handle the Giants, as they will be even more popular in these types of contests, so I\u2019m weighing the possibility of a fade. The tricky part is that CWS\/MIN is my favorite pivot game, all things considered. I\u2019m a little tilted seeing Kevin Roth give the game an orange for his MLB Weather<\/a> forecast, putting the game in doubt. If weather allows for baseball in Minnesota, it will likely be my first look if I decide to move off the Giants. Shota Imanaga<\/a> is my favorite SP, with Wrigley looking like an excellent pitching environment tonight. I\u2019ll pair him with whoever fits among the variety of options that I like but don\u2019t love. If I\u2019m saving salary, I currently have Michael Lorenzen<\/a> over Yu Darvish<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Who is your favorite pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why? <\/p>\n

CheeseIsGood: Shota Imanaga<\/a> \u2013 Straight-up, I\u2019d still take Bryan Woo<\/a> over Imanaga, but it\u2019s close enough that with the $1,000 salary gap, I\u2019ll just start with Imanaga. He\u2019s ideally suited to pitch in these weather conditions at home, when the Wrigley wind keeps his fly balls in the park. The Braves are also a much higher strikeout team against LHP, with 6 batters in the projected lineup above a 23% K rate this season.<\/p>\n
