{"id":115095,"date":"2025-09-02T20:59:05","date_gmt":"2025-09-02T20:59:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/115095\/"},"modified":"2025-09-02T20:59:05","modified_gmt":"2025-09-02T20:59:05","slug":"veronika-slowikowska-and-five-others-join-snl-cast","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/115095\/","title":{"rendered":"Veronika Slowikowska and five others join SNL cast"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">\u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d is bulking up its ranks following a string of departures.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The long-running sketch show on Monday announced five new people were being added to the cast as so-called feature players \u2013 Tommy Brennan, Jeremy Culhane, Ben Marshall, Kam Patterson and Veronika Slowikowska.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Marshall is already a familiar face on \u201cSNL,\u201d having appeared on-camera as part of the comedy trio \u201cPlease Don\u2019t Destroy\u201d and a staff writer since 2021.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Culhane, Patterson and Slowikowska, meanwhile, boast robust followings on TikTok, where, naturally, they are known for their comedy videos.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Slowikowska, who has nearly 700,000 followers on TikTok, has also had a recurring role on FX\u2019s \u201cWhat We Do in the Shadows.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Culhane\u2019s acting roles have included parts on \u201cThe Sex Lives of College Girls\u201d and \u201cHeathers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Patterson will soon be seen in Netflix\u2019s Kevin Hart-led comedy \u201c72 Hours,\u201d but is best known for his standup.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Brennan is also known for his comedy work, having previously performed on \u201cThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The new additions come after four cast members\u2019 departures were confirmed last week, with Heidi Gardner, Michael Longfellow, Devon Walker and Emil Wakim not returning for season 51.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The new season of \u201cSNL\u201d premieres October 4.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">By Sandra Gonzalez, CNN<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"\u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d is bulking up its ranks following a string of departures.
