Ferrari<\/a> will celebrate the half-century anniversary of Niki Lauda\u2019s legendary title-winning triumph at Monza this week by taking to the streets of Milan with a \u2018Tifosi Tram\u2019 \u2013 and unveiling a special Monza Limited Edition Collection of team clothing with partner PUMA.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Driving the iconic Ferrari 312T, Lauda secured the first of his Formula 1 title with third at the Italian Grand Prix on 7 September, 1975, giving Ferrari its first world title in 11 years \u2013 to the delight of hundreds of thousands of scarlet-clad fans.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Fifty years on, the team will commemorate that moment by transforming a traditional red Milanese tram into a rolling celebration of racing history, allowing fans to explore Lauda\u2019s legacy, experience 50 years of Ferrari firsts and celebrate the iconic PUMA partnership.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Only a few lucky supporters will get the chance to ride the tram, but plenty more will have the opportunity to celebrate the landmark memory by getting hold of an item from the latest PUMA collection \u2013 which is inspired by Lauda\u2019s race suits.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Lauda headed to that year\u2019s Italian Grand Prix<\/a> – the penultimate race of the season – needing to finish better than sixth to take the title and gave himself the perfect start by putting the beautiful Ferrari 312T machine on pole.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After morning rain on race day, the track dried up in time for the start and Lauda\u2019s team-mate Clay Regazzoni moved into the lead from the off, with the pair holding a 1-2 until Emmerson Fittipadi snatched second with six laps to go.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That mattered little, as the Ferrari fans still saw their beloved scarlet car take the chequered flag in the hands of Regazzoni and, with third place, could celebrate Lauda\u2019s title secured. Cue the parties, well into the night and the many nights that followed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In celebration of that era, the new clothing collection features vintage logos, throwback lettering and retro-inspired details – with an offering that includes a stunning race suit styled bomber jacket, logoed t-shirts, footwear and caps.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The entire range, of course, comes in Ferrari red – but in a nod to past race suits, mechanics clothing and apparel, fans looking for something a little different can opt to select the same garments in a stunning bright blue colour.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The clothing will be worn by Ferrari team members at Monza and Thomas Josnik, VP of PUMA Motorsport, said: “For 20 years, PUMA and Scuderia Ferrari have shared more than just success on the track, we\u2019ve shared a passion for bringing motorsport closer to the fans.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
