{"id":117854,"date":"2025-09-03T22:58:06","date_gmt":"2025-09-03T22:58:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/117854\/"},"modified":"2025-09-03T22:58:06","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T22:58:06","slug":"scarborough-stabbing-victim-identified","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/117854\/","title":{"rendered":"Scarborough stabbing: victim identified"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Toronto police have identified the 67-year-old man who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cp24.com\/local\/toronto\/2025\/09\/03\/man-dead-following-stabbing-in-scarborough\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.cp24.com\/local\/toronto\/2025\/09\/03\/man-dead-following-stabbing-in-scarborough\/\">was fatally stabbed in Scarborough on Tuesday night.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police said they responded to an apartment building in the area of Kingston and Galloway roads just before 7 p.m.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">When officers arrived, they located Robert Dawson with significant stab wounds. Despite life-saving measures, Dawson was pronounced dead at the scene.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">He is the city\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/63932\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/63932\/\">28th homicide victim<\/a> of the year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police said they arrested a woman at the scene. In a news release on Wednesday, they identified her as Natasha MacCallum of no fixed address.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">She has been charged with second-degree murder.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police previously said Dawson and MacCallum knew each other but the exact nature of their relationship is unknown.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Homicide investigators have not disclosed a motive.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">They are asking anyone with information about the stabbing to contact them at 416-808-7400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS (8477).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Toronto police have identified the 67-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in Scarborough on Tuesday night.
