Canadian tennis star Felix Auger-Aliassime is moving on at the US Open.<\/p>\n
Taking on Australian Alex de Minaur in Wednesday\u2019s quarterfinal, Auger-Aliassime\u2019s match went the distance in four sets, with a final score of 4-6, 7-6, 7-5, 7-6.<\/p>\n
The match, which began at 11:30 a.m. local time in New York, lasted over four hours and 10 minutes.<\/p>\n

In 2021, he also faced off against Daniil Medvedev in the final four at the US Open, where he was the eventual champion.<\/p>\n \u201cIt feels amazing. Four years ago, it feels like more. It was a tough couple of years,\u201d he said in an on-court interview after the match. \u201cIt was just a lot of nerves today, during the whole match\u2026 [but] it\u2019s not over. There\u2019s still some tennis to play.<\/p>\n Auger-Aliassime was seeded No. 25 in the tournament, while de Minaur was seeded eighth.<\/p>\n Auger-Aliassime\u2019s run in this tournament<\/a> had already seen a vast increase in his live ranking<\/a>, pushing him up 14 spots from world No. 27 to at least No. 13.<\/p>\n Auger-Aliassime will take on the winner of Jannik Sinner and Lorenzo Musetti in a semi-final match on Friday.
