On Wednesday, Sept. 3, the 39-year-old \u201cBad Romance\u201d singer announced she had to abruptly cancel her performance just minutes before she was set to take the stage.<\/p>\n
“Hi everyone, I am really so so sorry but I need to postpone tonight\u2019s show in Miami,” she posted to Instagram Stories.<\/p>\n

According to the \u201cAbracadabra\u201d singer, who is currently on the Mayhem Ball tour, her “voice was extremely strained” during rehearsal Tuesday, Sept. 2, and her vocal warmup Wednesday, Sept. 3.<\/p>\n
The Wednesday actress<\/a> added that she\u2019d been advised by both her doctor and vocal coach to not go on \u201cbecause of the risk it poses.\u201d<\/p>\n Lady Gaga added that while it was a \u201chard and agonizing decision\u201d to cancel at the last minute, she did not want to cause permanent damage to her vocal chords.<\/p>\n \u201cThere is a significant risk based on all our combined experience with a show like ours and as you know I sing live every night \u2014 and even though this was a hard and agonizing decision I would be more afraid of the long term implications on my voice,” she said. “I hope you can forgive me and accept my sincerest apologies for any disappointment.
