First Look
\nThe Chattanooga Mocs women’s golf team has a lot to be excited about heading into the 2025-26 campaign. Five return with significant starting experience while Coach Colette Murray<\/a> added two freshmen to the roster. The competition is deep and will serve the group well against what is an ambitious slate.

\nThe Squad
\nJunior Violeta Fernandez-Tagle<\/a> returns as a 2-time All-Southern Conference performer. Seniors Makenzie Cooper<\/a> and Kera Healey<\/a> are entering their third and fourth years, respectively, in the program, while another junior, Giulia Foresta<\/a>, has been a mainstay in the lineup. In fact, this quartet has started together in nearly every event since the start of 2023-24.

\nSophomore Chloe Stevenazzi<\/a> got to the States right before the start of last season. A year of adjustment should serve her well. Two exciting prospects, Rugile Pauliukonyte<\/a> (Lithuania) and Olivia Wood<\/a> (South Africa) begin their collegiate journeys this month as the group has high hopes for the road ahead.

\nThe Schedule
\nMurray has always been a proponent of challenging her squads with top events. It starts heavy with trips to Michigan, Vanderbilt and Tennessee before closing the fall in strong mid-major fields at Old Dominion and Mercer.

\nA trip to Mexico in late January signals the turn to the spring portion of the campaign. The Mocs head back to Wisconsin’s Westbrook Invitational in Arizona in February before coming back to the home front for the short trip to Gadsden, Ala., as 3-time winners of the Chris Banister Golf Classic. The regular season end with a trip to Texas for the Betsy Rawls Invite and Florida for the Coach Mo Classic in Saint Augustine.

\nThe Southern Conference Championships kick off the postseason in mid-April heading back to Columbia, S.C. The Mocs are 5-time team champions with an impressive seven medalists in the program’s 18 seasons.

\nThe NCAA Tournament is in mid-May beginning with several regional sites. The Mocs look to return to the NCAA Championships finals in late May at Omni La Costa Resort in Carlsbad, Calif. The last finals appearance was 2022 when Dorota Zalewska advanced as an individual capturing the program’s first NCAA postseason win at the Raleigh Regionals.
