{"id":119076,"date":"2025-09-04T10:42:17","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T10:42:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/119076\/"},"modified":"2025-09-04T10:42:17","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T10:42:17","slug":"helicopter-carrying-firefighters-did-forced-landing-in-pemberton","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/119076\/","title":{"rendered":"Helicopter carrying firefighters did &#8216;forced landing&#8217; in Pemberton"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The BC Wildfire Service says that a helicopter had to carry out a \u201cforced landing\u201d close to Pemberton on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>B.C.\u2019s Minister of Forests, Ravi Parmar, says the helicopter was carrying members of an initial attack crew of firefighters responding to an active blaze.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone on board survived.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m relieved to let you know that all the occupants are accounted for and there are no critical injuries. First responder agencies are on site,\u201d said Parmar at a press conference in Victoria.<\/p>\n<p>According to the BC Emergency Health Services, two ambulances with primary care paramedics responded to the scene at Airport Road in Pemberton after 11:50 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe patients were brought out by helicopter with the assistance of the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre. Paramedics provided emergency medical treatment to two patients who were transported by ground ambulance to a health care facility in stable condition. Two other patients did not require ambulance transport to the hospital,\u201d said Paramedic Public Information Officer Brian Twaites.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Pemberton-Map-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4317862\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>BC Wildfire Service reports five active wildfires near Pemberton.
