Angel Reese<\/a> has apologized to her Chicago Sky teammates after criticizing the roster in a recent interview.\n<\/p>\n After the Sky defeated the Connecticut Sun on Wednesday, Sept. 3, Reese, 23, was asked<\/a> if she’s frustrated with the organization after the Chicago Tribune quoted<\/a> her saying that she questioned her teammates’ ability to win and said she would potentially leave the team if things didn’t improve.\n<\/p>\n Reese acknowledged the article and said, “I probably am frustrated with myself right now.”\n<\/p>\n The WNBA star said she thinks “the language is taken out of context” and clarified, “I really didn’t intentionally mean to put down my teammates, because they’ve been through this with me throughout the whole year.”\n<\/p>\n Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky on Aug. 28, 2025.<\/p>\n Barry Gossage\/NBAE via Getty<\/p>\n She mentioned how her teammates have also “busted their ass” like she has, and have “showed up for me through thick and thin, and in the locker room when nobody could see anything.”\n<\/p>\n Reese continued, “So, I want to apologize to my teammates, which I already have, about the article and how it was misconstrued about what was said,” adding that she has “to be better” with her “language” in interviews.\n<\/p>\n “Because I know it’s not the message, it’s the messenger, and understanding what I say can be taken any kind of way. So, I just have to really be better and grow from this,” she concluded.\n<\/p>\n
