{"id":120575,"date":"2025-09-05T00:18:11","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T00:18:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/120575\/"},"modified":"2025-09-05T00:18:11","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T00:18:11","slug":"what-iga-swiateks-team-were-spotted-doing-a-lot-during-her-defeat-to-amanda-anisimova-at-the-us-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/120575\/","title":{"rendered":"What Iga Swiatek\u2019s team were spotted doing &#8216;a lot&#8217; during her defeat to Amanda Anisimova at the US Open"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After winning the Wimbledon title in July, Iga Swiatek was on the hunt for a second Grand Slam of the year in New York.<\/p>\n<p>Kicking off her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/us-open\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">US Open<\/a> campaign with wins over Emiliana Arango, Suzan Lamens, Anna Kalinskaya, and Ekaterina Alexandrova, Swiatek booked her place in the quarterfinals.<\/p>\n<p>There she met home favorite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/amanda-anisimova\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Amanda Anisimova<\/a>, who was after revenge, having lost to Swiatek 0-6, 0-6, in the 2025 Wimbledon final.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/GettyImages-2233271091-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Amanda Anisimova celebrates her fourth-round win at the 2025 US Open\" class=\"wp-image-126858\" \/>Photo by Al Bello\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>In a remarkable turnaround, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/news\/amanda-anisimova-shares-how-she-really-feels-about-beating-iga-swiatek-two-months-after-0-6-0-6-wimbledon-defeat\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Anisimova defeated Swiatek<\/a> 6-4, 6-3, on Arthur Ashe Stadium, knocking the Pole out of the US Open.<\/p>\n<p>Sharing their post-match reactions, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/laura-robson\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Laura Robson<\/a> and Marion Bartoli noticed Swiatek\u2019s team doing something \u2018a lot\u2019 throughout the quarterfinal.<\/p>\n<p>Laura Robson and Marion Bartoli heard Iga Swiatek\u2019s team shouting \u2018a lot\u2019 during her US Open exit<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to Sky Sports after the match, Robson gave her verdict on Swiatek\u2019s player box.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe sort of attitude from the player\u2019s box was really interesting for me,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wim-fissette\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wim [Fissette]<\/a> was, as usual, quite quiet, but the rest of the box was getting quite agitated. This has been a couple of rounds now that we\u2019ve heard from them, a lot, during the match.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, it\u2019s just, it maybe doesn\u2019t help the situation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>2013 Wimbledon champion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/marion-bartoli\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bartoli<\/a> agreed, as she weighed in on the \u2018aggressive shouting\u2019 from Swiatek\u2019s coaching staff.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just think the vibe was completely different from each box. On the one side, you had [Amanda] Anisimova\u2019s box, everyone was very positive, always very encouraging, giving that positive message, even on the rare occasion that she missed, giving the confidence that she was doing the right thing,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the other side, I don\u2019t speak Polish, so I can\u2019t understand what they were saying, but there was a lot of shouting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEven though, of course, it\u2019s a loud court, the shouting is quite aggressive, into the message you\u2019re receiving.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/GettyImages-2233585524-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Iga Swiatek looks up during her defeat to Amanda Anisimova at the 2025 US Open\" class=\"wp-image-126974\" \/>Photo by Ishika Samant\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on the voice tone, it put Iga in a lot more difficulty.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Swiatek\u2019s coaching team has been a major point of discussion this year, with some suggesting she should have parted ways with Fissette when results weren\u2019t going her way.<\/p>\n<p>Things seemed to have clicked between the pair when she won Wimbledon and Cincinnati, but there\u2019s clearly still some more work to be done.<\/p>\n<p>After the match, Sky Sports showed footage of Swiatek in conversation with Fissette, looking visibly frustrated, having suffered her second consecutive US Open quarterfinal exit.<\/p>\n<p>Looking to move on from her defeat to Anisimova, Swiatek will return to action two weeks from now, in Seoul, South Korea.<\/p>\n<p>Iga Swiatek\u2019s 2025 WTA Tour schedule<\/p>\n<p>Between now and the end of the season, Swiatek is likely to play four more tournaments.<\/p>\n<p>DatesTournamentTierSurfaceSeptember 15 -September 21Korea OpenWTA 500HardSeptember 24 \u2013 October 5China OpenWTA 1000HardOctober 6 \u2013 October 12Wuhan OpenWTA 1000HardNovember 1 \u2013 November 8WTA FinalsWTA FinalsHard (Indoor)Iga Swiatek\u2019s potential 2025 schedule<\/p>\n<p>She\u2019ll first head to Seoul for the Korea Open WTA 500 event, where she will compete as the number-one seed and tournament favorite.<\/p>\n<p>Then, Swiatek will head over to China for the two WTA 1000 events in Beijing and Wuhan.<\/p>\n<p>Finally, she\u2019ll compete at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thetennisgazette.com\/tag\/wta-finals\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">WTA Finals<\/a> in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, having already qualified for the year-end finals alongside her biggest rival, Aryna Sabalenka.<\/p>\n<p>Top ten in the \u2018Live WTA Race\u20191.
