This weekend, the Scuderia celebrates the 50th anniversary of Niki Lauda\u2019s first world title with Ferrari, a milestone carrying special significance for Hamilton, who has always felt a strong bond with the Austrian legend. \u201cI\u2019m glad we can honour Niki this weekend with a special livery and helmet, even though, to me, it always feels as if he\u2019s still here by my side. Sometimes I even feel like I can hear him, because I know exactly what he would say to me in different situations,\u201d Hamilton reflected.<\/p>\n
Motivation. Hamilton will also face a five-place grid penalty this weekend, handed down for an infringement before the Dutch Grand Prix. \u201cObviously, losing so many positions here at Monza is tough, and I can\u2019t help but feel the penalty was harsh. But that\u2019s how it is, and I\u2019ve already moved on: starting from the midfield will make the challenge even more exciting,\u201d he noted. \u201cOver time, I\u2019ve learned to live fully in the present \u2013 dwelling on the past doesn\u2019t help, and thinking too much about the future isn\u2019t useful either. This season has been challenging from a sporting perspective, but personally very rewarding: I\u2019ve discovered a new culture, a team I didn\u2019t know before, and they constantly push me to give my best, just as I do with everyone involved.
