<\/p>\n NASHVILLE, Tenn.\u00a0\u2013 Freshman Emma Wolf<\/a> scored in the 72nd minute to lift the Eastern Kentucky University women’s soccer team to a 1-1 draw against Belmont on Thursday night at E.S. Rose Park.

\nEKU (4-1-1) extended its unbeaten streak to four matches and has earned 13 points during that stretch. The Colonels entered the night second in the Atlantic Sun Conference standings, trailing only Bellarmine.
\n\u00a0
\nWolf, a midfielder from St. Louis, netted her second goal of the season and with Thursday’s performance, has now scored in back-to-back games. Fellow freshman Rachel Phifer<\/a> recorded her first collegiate point with the assist.

\nBelmont (2-1-2) struck first in the 26th minute when Laken Whittington converted a cross from Ava Labocki. The Bruins carried the 1-0 lead into halftime as EKU failed to register a shot in the opening 45 minutes.
\n\u00a0
\nThe Colonels came out strong after the break, recording three shots and three corner kicks in the first five minutes. Their pressure finally paid off when Wolf finished Phifer’s pass near the goal line to beat Belmont goalkeeper Sydney Jones for the equalizer.

\nBoth teams pressed for a winner in the final 18 minutes but failed to convert any of the five combined shot attempts. Four yellow cards were issued after the 80th minute before the match ended in a draw.

\nEKU placed four of its six shots on goal and earned a season-high four corner kicks. Goalkeeper Jordan LeVasseur<\/a> tallied three saves while playing the full 90 minutes, her record in net moves to 2-0-1 on the year.

\nThe Colonels return to action next Thursday, September 11 against Northern Kentucky.
