one player that a few may not recognize is F\u00e9lix Auger-Aliassime, who has dazzled at this year\u2019s tournament with victories over the likes of Alex de Minaur and Andrey Rublev.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmf708vye000u3b6n4kpn4ldd@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            The Canadian now has a place in a grand slam semifinal for just the second time in his career, having gotten this far at Flushing Meadows in 2021.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmf708vye000v3b6n94u57829@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            Despite an impressive run that year and some bright moments in the semifinal, Auger-Aliassime was beaten fairly comfortably by Daniil Medvedev, who won 6-4, 7-5, 6-2 and proceeded to lift the trophy that year.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmf708vye000w3b6nv44plr26@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            In particular, the Canadian struggled to deal with Medvedev\u2019s serve, with the Russian racking up 12 aces and winning 80% of his first serve points.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmf708vye000x3b6nmub5cp46@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            But Auger-Aliassime was just 21 years old then, and believes his game has improved in a number of ways since the last time he found himself on the cusp of a grand slam final.\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmf708vye000y3b6no48dow4o@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            \u201cPhysicality, movement got much better, stronger physically, the serve, the forehand more precise, the backhand was always consistent, the return was always good, deep,\u201d he said after defeating de Minaur on Wednesday. \u201cYeah, those are the main things.\u201d\n    <\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph inline-placeholder vossi-paragraph\" data-uri=\"cms.cnn.com\/_components\/paragraph\/instances\/cmf708vye000z3b6nwuchypab@published\" data-editable=\"text\" data-component-name=\"paragraph\" data-article-gutter=\"true\">\n            The Canadian is going to need all of those skills if he is to have any chance of going one step further than he did four
