Coronation Street fans think they know who the real Tia Wardley is after a decoy twist on the ITV soap, and she could be linked to the mystery ‘green coat lady’ at the hospital<\/p>\n

There were so many questions after Friday’s Coronation Street<\/a>, with the identity of two or three characters in particular sparking new theories.<\/p>\n

We saw the arrival of a mystery new person dubbed ‘green coat lady’ by fans eager to figure out who she was, after potentially seeing her somewhere else prior. Then there was the Tia Wardley twist, as ‘Tia’ introduced herself to Lisa Swain and Carla Connor claiming to have known Lisa’s late wife Becky Swain.<\/p>\n

So when it emerged that she was actually just a decoy and a fake Tia Wardley, it sparked big questions. She’s clearly working for DI Costello who paid her to pretend to be Tia – so who is the real Tia and what has happened to her?<\/p>\n

Also, if this decoy isn’t Tia who is she and why is she helping Costello? It certainly fuelled suspicions that Costello was corrupt, and he could be involved in Becky’s death or at least know more about what happened.<\/p>\n

It left fans convinced that the mystery lady in the green coat, seen at the hospital with Roy Cropper, could be the unseen someone following and watching Lisa from afar. It was such a random scene as Roy apologised to the lady in the green coat, with her commenting that her trainers allowed her to be “as quiet as a mouse”.<\/p>\n

It was almost a hint that she could easily be undetected, say… when watching someone without them knowing. It left fans sure she was watching Lisa, sparking two theories about her true identity.<\/p>\n

One was that she was the real Tia Wardley and she knows something about Becky’s death, or was at least linked to her. The other theory was that this lady is Becky, in hiding.<\/p>\n

Whether Becky is alive and using the name Tia or there’s a separate person that is Tia is not confirmed, nor is the idea that Becky isn’t really dead. But fans are now convinced this could be the way the plot is going, if not a different direction that will see Becky still dead, and ‘green coat lady’ revealed as Tia.<\/p>\n

Taking to X one fan said: “Okay if this is Tia or Becky how has she ended up in Weatherfield at the exact same time that Costello has literally hired someone to pretend to be Tia?? Seems too silly surely?”<\/p>\n

Another fan said: “So woman at the park must be confirmed to be the real Tia?” A third fan agreed: “So real Tia Wardley (green jacket) is going to rock up on Lisa and introduce herself.<\/p>\n

“This is what spooks Lisa and the other shoe drops (or glass) that Costello has been keeping secrets from her. Oh and real Tia is going to be B’s other wife or mistress.” Meanwhile one fan said: “The person watching Lisa is either the real Tia or her estranged sister.”<\/p>\n

In terms of it being Becky, a theory read: “And Roy holding the door for… the real Tia? Becky? Definitely the one in the shadows.” A further comment said: “Unless the real Tia is Becky and it’s her cover name?”<\/p>\n
